COLETTE DUBOIS sits behind a glass-topped desk, sorting through a stack of lot cards. A brass lamp casts a narrow cone of light over the papers. It is the evening of September 22, 2024. A knock at the door.
COLETTE looks up and opens the door. CARLOS REYES steps inside, removing his rain-soaked overcoat. Behind him, MAI LANH enters, carrying a waterproof document tube and a canvas satchel.
